The Oregon Media Production Association (OMPA) is a non-profit trade association dedicated to the growth of the film, video and multimedia industry in the state of Oregon. The association recently celebrated its twentieth anniversary and wanted a logo and identity system that strengthened its image as the state's premier advocate for the production community. They required a simple and clear identity that could be supported by a small staff with limited budgets. Along with a new identity, the OMPA was in dire need of a professional Web site.

Hot Pepper created a logo, letterhead, business card and identity system that is simple and classic. Several stories are told with this logo. The "O" in OMPA takes the form of a viewfinder and also evokes a monitor's "title safe" area, subtly emphasizing media without being specific to a medium (i.e. film, television, interactive). The bracket forms put the focus literally on Oregon, and the color green evokes Oregon's natural beauty. The clean lines of the identity were applied to the group's Web site both visually and architecturally.

The unveiling of OMPA's new identity and Web site at the 20th Anniversary Members Meeting was received with a great deal of enthusiasm. Folks applauded the visual power of the new identity and loved the Web site's expanded and organized content, which included up-to-date news and events, expanded information on the OMPA Directory and Call Sheet newsletter and more. As the OMPA fulfills its destiny as the champion of Oregon's media production community, they can feel confident that their image is a hit.
